“We have sun in the non-sun, swim in the non-ocean and breeze in the toxic non-breeze. Our spirits are unthwarted, and the mezzo-appocolypse, despite our surroundings, is anything but nigh. We are taking excessive trips to the bathroom, lounging, applying zinc and coconut tan oil (not lotion, the odorous stuff) obsessively. Our radio divulges AM shock jock tripe. We talk about the future. We wait for it on Raunch Beach.”
