Deena Odelle Hyatt is a vocalist, performing artist, student, teacher and writer. Deena debuted in 2008 in Austin Texas for The New Music Coop’s show “The Universal Instrument,” a concert devoted to new compositions featuring the human voice. There she was discovered by Sony rep and became the voice of Wonder Girl in The DC Universe Game. After eight years in Austin, Deena returned to the DC area a year ago to pursue a Teacher Certification at the Washington Center of Alexander Technique where she is enrolled in a three year training program. Alexander Technique is a kinaesthetic educational process of self improvement, informed by the study of habitual reactions, developmental movement, patterns of tension, and the unraveling of inefficient and unbalanced ways. In 2013, Deena plans to open a sensory based center where health meets art; a meeting place for mindful innovative creatives to practice, engage in special events, take refuge and take it to the next level.
